Mary Lois Hamer Trimmier of Orangeburg, formerly of Bennettsville, SC died Sunday, August 30, 2020, she was 84 years old.
Born March 10, 1936, Mary Lois was the daughter of Ervin Alfred and Lois Parks Hamer of Tatum, SC. She graduated from McColl High School in 1954, the attended Columbia College. Mary Lois married Hal Trimmier, Jr. on May 25, 1957. Mrs. Trimmier devoted her time to her family as a stay at home mother. Mary Lois was a strong advocate and supporter of the local humane society. She was a very active member of First United Methodist Church. Mary Lois lent her skills as artist, lay leader and Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed hosting Bible studies, ladies luncheons and bridge clubs.
Mary Lois is survived by her son, Mark Hamer Trimmier and his wife Sylvia of Blythewood, SC; her daughter, Janet Trimmer Grulick of Irmo, SC; grandsons, Andy Trimmier of Newberry, SC, Paul Trimmier and wife Dina of Atlanta, GA; granddaughters, Claire and Abby Grulick of Irmo, SC;
In addition to her parents listed above, Mary Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Hal Trimmier, Jr.
Mark and Janet wish to thank all close friends and family of their mother for the years of love and support. They regret not being able to have the opportunity to embrace everyone at this time.
Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, a private graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Park with immediate family only. The Rev. Taylor Coates will be officiating.
